Additional safety features (crash buffers, anti-climbing protection, dome protection) were developed for the transport of chemicals in rail tank cars and implemented in two prototype cars.

triK Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH played a key role in the development of an energy-absorbing underframe and the conceptual design of crash elements, as well as their testing.
