In addition to the loads from liquid filling, passive and active earth pressures, dead weight, buoyancy loads from groundwater, and loads from vehicles on the surface were derived as load conditions. The verifications included all necessary stress and deformation verifications for short-term and long-term stability for the required service life of the tanks.
Project description
Stability analyses were performed for rainwater tanks made of various plastics that are used as cisterns below ground level, both in filled and unfilled states. The tanks were modeled in detail as finite element shell models.
